This is exactly why I don't play 2x leveraged ETFs. The decay is BRUTAL. Time is working against you. Since July 1: $NBIL: +5% $NBIS: +21% Same exposure, yet the 2x ETF massively underperformed over just 1.5 months. And that's the part people underestimate. You can be right on the stock and still get crushed by leverage decay. I know it's tempting but leveraged ETFs are not simply “2x the stock over time.” People massively underestimate how quickly the decay can eat into your returns. Don’t be a degen. Buy the stock, not the leveraged ETF.
