I think Robotaxi is a red herring for Tesla. The sleeper is the amount of recurring revenue Tesla is going to earn from Supervised/Unsupervised FSD on their fleet. The amount of markets Tesla can sell into with vehicles that have steering wheels & pedals is far, far, FAR larger than markets that will allow Tesla to operate a Robotaxi network. For at least the next 5-10 years, Robotaxi network will be a technology showcase. The real unlock is people buying their vehicles and activating Supervised/Unsupervised autonomy. This allows Tesla to collect recurring FSD revenue in virtually every market.
