$ASTS earnings are out. Before going through the numbers, remember that ASTS is still in the buildout stage. At this point, the main thing I’m focused on is how quickly they can get satellites into orbit and move towards commercial service. ASTS now has 13 satellites in orbit, with six launched in the last 50 days. BlueBirds 14–16 are preparing to ship, while production is already underway through BlueBird 46. They’ve also activated 3,000 digital cells across the US as they prepare for beta service. On the commercial side, ASTS now has relationships with more than 60 mobile operators covering over 3 billion subscribers.
