$MSFT delivered a very strong quarter. Revenue reached $90 billion, up 18% from last year, while operating income increased to $40.6 billion. Non-GAAP earnings were $4.74 per share. The quarter also included a $3.2 billion gain from Microsoft’s investment in Anthropic, so part of the earnings growth came from investment gains. The most important number was Azure, which grew by 43%. Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $59.3 billion, while its commercial backlog increased by 84% to $678 billion. Azure also passed $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time, and Microsoft 365 Copilot now has more than 30 million paid users.
