My read on SK hynix post-call: Memory demand language was as strong as it gets. Nothing suggests the memory cycle is breaking or the AI buildout is slowing. The market is probably panicking over two different risks: (1) capped pricing realization and (2) future oversupply after the capex reveal, including high-₩40T 2026 capex and Yongin being pulled forward to early 2027. An analyst raised the oversupply concern directly on the call. But SK hynix is deliberately trading spot-price torque for contracted visibility. Five-year LTAs, customer deposits and volatility-dampening pricing mechanisms make the business look increasingly like contracted infrastructure. That reduces upside in a price spike, but it also reduces downside in the next downturn. Probably a great opportunity for those
